While some phone makers focus their attentions on phones with the most powerful CPU possible, others thinks of the largest possible battery a smartphone can reasonable housed, without turning a brick. This is true with the newly released Oukitel WP15 5G smartphone. This device is more like a monster battery wise, as it houses a capacious 15,600mAh battery on the inside.

In addition to the battery prowess, the phone is a rugged device as well, which means, it is both water and dust proofed, thanks to it IP68 / IP69K and MIL-STD-810G certification.

With such battery capacity and built quality, two thoughts that can easily struck the mind of any potential buyer is how heavy is the phone, and does it not take forever to charge up to 100%?

Well, with such numbers, some sacrifices are expected. To begin with, the WP15 smartphone comes in a 178.2 x 86.2 x 23.8 mm body, while weighing a gigantic 485 grams. As for the charging time, 18W fast charger is supported, but you should expect a substantial charging time still. It almost like you will be charging 4X 4000mAh battery. So if a conventional phone with 4000mAh battery and 18W charger, takes 1 hour and 30 minutes to charge, then multiply that figure by 4, probably 6 hours or more to go from 0 to 100%.

The other aspect of the phone includes a 6.52-inches HD+ display with a waterdrop notch overhead. On the inside is MediaTek Dimensity 700 octa-core 5G CPU, pegged with Mali-G57 GPU, 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.

As for the optics, the Oukitel WP15 comes with three lenses on the rear; a 48-megapixel main snapper assisted by two other lenses on the back, while a single 8-megapixel main lens is used on the front.
