OPPO Reno5 F to have 4310mAh battery with 30W VOOV charger

OPPO will be announcing two smartphones in Kenya on the 22nd of February, which is less than 48-hours from now. The two devices expected are the Reno5 and the Reno5 F. Although we are much familiar with the vanilla Reno5, but not the 5F. The Reno5 F will be the first OPPO mobile phone to officially debut first in an African market.

Talking about familiarity, we do know the standard Reno5 4G model was announced on the 31st of December 2020, with 6.43 FHD+ display, Snapdragon 720G CPU, Android 11 OS and an assembly of four cameras on the rear, driven by a 64-megapixel main lens. One of the unique aspect of the Reno5 is that it has a 4310mAh battery that support up to 50W fast charger.

But not much is known about the new and upcoming Reno5 F yet. But based on the prelaunch page which have just gone official on OPPO Kenyan’s site, the Reno5 F will as well have a 4310mAh battery, but will come with a downgraded 30W VOOC charger.

Further more the device will pack an AMOLED display with a punch-hole notch, and will offer similar camera trick like the dual video capability of the Reno5. The rear view of the phone will also look entirely different from the standard version with the camera being rectangular, instead of the inverted L-shape on the Reno5.

Judging by other F-variants of previous Reno-series, the Reno5 F might offer either 6 or 8GB RAM, and powered by a MediaTek CPU. The launch event will be taking place by 10AM on February 22nd, and will be broadcasted via OPPO Kenyan’s official social handles, and you can be rest assured to get an update from us as well, so stay tuned.
