Today, Samsung has launched Galaxy M42 5G. This smartphone is the newest member of Samsung’s Galaxy M-line. It is the first M-series smartphone from the tech company to arrive with support for 5G connectivity. Looking at the specifications and designs of the smartphone alone, one will conclude that this brand-new phone is a slightly modified version of Galaxy A42 5G. 

Specifications

The Samsung Galaxy M42 5G brings a 6.6-inch AMOLED display with HD+ resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels, a 20:9 aspect ratio, and a water-drop notch. The Infinity-U notch screen is joined together with a fingerprint sensor. The polycarbonate rear, which has a glass-like appeal, sports a spectacular layered pattern.

In the camera department, the Galaxy M42 5G features a 20-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies. Its rear camera has a 48MP primary camera alongside an 8MP ultrawide snapper and two 5MP modules for macro shots and depth data.

The phone runs on the Snapdragon 750G chipset paired with 6/8GB RAM and 128GB storage which is expandable via microSD. The battery comes in at 5,000 mAh and supports 15W charging.

The phone runs on the Snapdragon 750G chipset, which enables it supports 5G. It is also paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage which is you can increase using microSD.

The Samsung Galaxy M42 5G has an extensive battery of 5,000mAh capacity. This battery supports 15W charging. Among the features of this brand-new smartphone, we have a dual SIM slot with 5G support, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, USB-C, and a 3.5mm audio jack.

The Galaxy M42 supports 5G thanks to the presence of the Snapdragon 750G chipset. The phone ships with up to 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. It is preinstalled with One UI 3.1 based Android 11 OS, which tags along with features like Samsung Pay and Knox security. It comes with a dedicated microSD expansion slot.

The Samsung Galaxy M42 5G comes in Prism Dot Black and Prism Dot Grey. As for the price, the 6/128GB model will sell for INR 21,999 (295 USD), while the 8/128GB trim will set buyers back INR 23,999 (322USD). For the base 6/128GB model, there is a special introductory offer that gets the price down to INR 19,999(268USD).
