Carl Pei’s Nothing ear (1) with ANC and Bluetooth 5.2 now official


Just as promised, Carl Pei and his Nothing company have released their first commercially available tech device. And as it was promised, the product is called Nothing ear (1), and it comes with Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) and the latest Bluetooth version 5.2.

The device launched in India for the first time, and it comes with Rs. 5,999 price tag, an equivalent of around $80 US Dollars. At this price, you are getting a true wireless earbuds has a transparent design to expose the device engineering. So microphones, magnets and circuit board mimics transparent design.

The Nothing Ear (1) is given an 11.6 mm driver on the inside, and support super fast connectivity option, thanks to the presence of Bluetooth 5.2. Each earbud weighs about 4.7 grams, and comes with three customizable liquid silicone tips.

The ANC uses three high definition mics to detect and silence unwanted noise as much as possible. Moreover, it also offers two separate noise cancellation levels, depending how noisy your environment is.

You can also control the earbuds with gestures, and it can auto detect when it is plugged to users ear. Additionally, the bud supports EQ and Find My Earbud. It is also sweat and splash proofed.

The Nothin ear (1) comes in 28.9 x 21.5 x 23.5 mm for the earbuds, while the charging box measures around 58.6 × 58.6 × 23.7 mm. Within this bodies, there is a 31mAh battery for the buds, offering up to 5.7 hours of use without ANC, and 4 hours of use with ANC.

The box can also extend the battery life since it support a separate 570mAh juice. For charging, Qi wireless charging technology is available. In addition to Indian availability, which is pushed to 17th of August, the Nothing ear (1) will also be available in US, Europe and UK, and will be priced at $99, €99 and £99, respectively.
