Rugged smartphones are almost everywhere this days, and that is because there are OEMs committed to making them. The latest device joining team “RUGGED” is Doogee’s S86 mobile phone, offering Helio P60 CPU from MediaTek, and powered by a large 8500mAh battery. The device itself is housed in a 6.1-inches screen with HD+ display res.

Doogee S86 has 8500mAh battery and Helio P60 CPU

The standout feature of most rugged phones which includes IP68/IP69K and MIL-STD-810G rating are equally present on the S86. The Helio P60 CPU on the inside is an octa-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz. Graphics are handled by Mali-G72, and there is 6GB RAM and 128GB ROM to aid smooth multitasking and storage.

Doogee is using four camera lenses on the rear of the S86. This is a combination of 16-megapixel main lens, along with three other auxiliary lenses. For selfie, there is a single 8-megapixel selfie snapper, which hides within the U-shape notch on the front.

There is also a side mounted biometrics scanner, and a USB Type-C interface is available as well. Now the interesting aspect is the battery capacity, which is a large 8500mAh unit. The unit supports 24W fast charger, and don’t expect it to be removable.

It offers dual Nano-SIM with LTE networks and run Google Android 10 out of the box. Painting includes Silver, Orange and Red. As for pricing, Aliexpress have listed the phone at $300, but it could be cheaper when released globally on the 25th of February, and if you are lucky folk, you could win a unit free here.
