Overview
The Flare S8 is a mid-range device from Cherry Mobile launched in the Philippines. The device is the direct successor of the Flare S7 launched last year. It has a 6.26-inch HD+ display, with 720 x 1520 pixels resolution, with a Waterdrop notch overhead, housing the front-facing camera sensor.
Specification-wise, the Flare S8 is powered by an 8-core Mediatek MT6763 Helio P23 CPU clocked at 2.0GHz, along with a Mali-G71 GPU. The device is available in a storage combination of 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage, expandable up to 128GB via SD card.
Coming to the camera department, you are getting a dual rear camera setup, of a 13 MP main sensor and a 2 MP secondary sensor. Also, within the overhead notch, there’s a single 13-megapixel front-facing camera for your selfie needs. But while there is no LED flash up front, the rear sensor has a single LED flash.
The device also comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, and has support for dual SIM slots, with 4G VoLTE network support on both SIMs. It is pre-loaded with Android 9.0 (Pie) out of the box, and fueled by a 2800mAh battery.
