Redmi K30 5G is Xiaomi’s latest addition to the list of 5G enabled smartphones. It was announced along with the standard K30 4G, both of which are successor of Xiaomi K20 announced in May, this year. It has same 6.67-inch IPS LCD display, with 1080 x 2400 pixel resolution, and use an in-screen pill-notch, housing a dual front facing camera.

Specification wise, the Redmi K30 5G is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G CPU. This is an octa-core 7nm chip clocked at 2.4GHz, along with Adreno 620 GPU. It has either 6/8 GB RAM and 64/128/256 GB internal storage expandable up to 256GB storage via SD card.

On the camera department, you are getting same six (6) camera sensors in all; two (2) sensors up front, and four (4) at the back. Of the four sensors at the back; there is a 64 MP wide angle shooter, featuring PDAF and f/1.9 aperture pegged with an ultra-wide 8 MP sensor with f/2.2 aperture, a third 2 MP depth sensor. But instead of the 2 MP macro sensor used in the 4G variant, the Redmi K30 5G comes with a larger 5 MP macro sensor.

The K30 5G also has a dual front facing camera, kept in the pill-notch upfront. The camera is a combination of 20 MP + 2 MP sensor, supporting HDR, face beautification and up to 1080p when recording video.

Security wise, there’s a side mounted fingerprint scanner and a 3D AI FaceID along with other Android locks. It also supports hybrid Nano-SIMs with 4G VoLTE network on both SIMs, a large 4500mAh battery with supports for 27W fast charging, and the Android 10, underneath MIUI 11 out of the box.
