The Doogee S40 is an extremely Rugged smartphone for outdoor smartphone users, similar to the Doogee S90. The device is a Tri-proofed IP68 certifed for dust and water resistant. The device features a crystal clear 5.5-inch IPS Display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4. The display mounts a 720 x 1440 pixels resolution, resulting in to a 293 PPI (pixels per inch) along with Capacitive and Multi-touch feature.
Specification wise, the smartphone is powered by the MediaTek MT6739 chipset. This is a Quad-core 1.3 GHz Cortex-A53 CPU. Along with the CPU, there’s a PowerVR GE8100 GPU, 2GB of RAM and 16 GB internal storage which can be further expanded to 32GB via SD card.
As for the built quality, The Doogee S40 is made out of Polycarbonate. The smartphone is certified with the aforementioned IP68, IP69K, and MIL-STD-810G, and is available in three different colors of, Black, Green and Orange.
The camera departments are handled by an 8 + 5 MP dual rear sensors, along with a single LED flash. In the front, there’s also a single 8 megapixel front-facing camera for selfie, FaceID and other AI features.
