Overview
This is Tecno’s POVA 3, the direct successor to the POVA 2 of last year. This new comer is given Helio G88 CPU, faster charging speed and better camera pixel. From the front, the POVA 3 has 6.9-inches IPS screen with 1080p display resolution and a dot-notch on the front.
Powering the POVA 3 is the aforementioned Helio G88 octa-core CPU from MediaTek, clocked at 2.0GHz. For gamers, there is Mali-G52 GPU, along with Panther Game Engine. The phone is available in two storage options; either 4GB RAM + 64GB ROM, or 6GB RAM with 128GB ROM, and there is also a space for external SD-card.
Coming to the camera department, the Tecno POVA 3 is given three lenses on the rear; a 50-megapixel Samsung JN1 sensor with PDAF and F/1.6 aperture, assisted by a 2-megapixel depth lens and a third AI sensor. Quad LED flash is available on the rear, and the selfie camera is an 8-megapixel sensor.
The phone has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and you are also getting FaceID as well. The model is powered by a 7000mAh battery with 33W fast charger, while Google Android 12, with HiOS 12.0 is available out of the box. The full specs of Tecno POVA 3 is contained in the table below.
