Honor has confirmed the unveiling of it’s new X-series smartphone, called the HONOR X40 5G, in China. The new HONOR X40 5G smartphone comes with a 50-megapixel dual rear camera.
The Chinese smartphone manufacturer HONOR (Shenzhen Zhixin New Information Technology) made this announcement revealing the device’s design and appearance. Let us take a look at the phone’s key specs.
HONOR X40 comes with a 6.67-inch OLED display that will offer a 2400×1080-pixel resolution. It also features an organic EL display with a refresh rate of 120Hz. The smartphone measures 161.6 x 73.9 x 7.9mm, and weighs 172 grams.
The smartphone packs a 5100mAh strong battery and supports 40W fast charging technology. Worthy of note also is the 5G compatibility, has biometric authentication sensor inside the screen that supports fingerprint authentication and face authentication.
At the front side, it has a centered punched hole that will house the selfie camera which is an 8-megapixel F2.0 camera lens. The rear sports a 50-megapixel + 2-megapixel dual camera.
The HONOR X40 device boots the Android 12 (Magic UI 6.1) OS out of the box, and is powerfully equipped with a Snapdragon 695 5G SM6375 2.2 GHz octa-core processor.
Backing this chip up are memory storage variants which comprise of RAM 6GB/8GB/12GB variants, and internal storage capacity of 128GB/256GB variants respectively.

The HONOR X40 is offered in Gold, Black, Blue and Green colors. It will launch officially this September in China.
