Honor has just unveiled the X50, a new smartphone that features a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with 3D curved sides, a 1.5K resolution, 10-bit color bit depth, 1920 Hz PWM dimming, and a 1200-nit peak brightness.
The display covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color space and has a native refresh rate of 120Hz.
The X50 is also the first smartphone in the world to obtain the Swiss SGS five-star drop-resistant certification for the entire device.
This means that the phone has been tested to withstand drops from up to 1.5 meters onto concrete.
The phone’s drop-resistant design is thanks to the brand-new “Honor Tai Chi Cushioning Structure,” which uses a combination of technology and materials to protect the phone from damage.
In addition to its durable design, the X50 also has a long-lasting battery. The phone packs a 5800 mAh battery that even after 1000 charge-discharge cycles maintains a health percentage of more than 80%. The battery supports 35W fast charging.
The X50 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage.
The camera department comprises a 108MP main shooter adjoined by a depth sensor on the back and an 8MP selfie snapper on the front.
The X50 runs on MagicOS 7.1 based on Android 13 and is available in Elegant Black, Sunshine after Rain, and Brown Blue colors with a glass rear shell. There’s a Flame Orange version with a faux leather rear shell finish.
