According to reports emanating from Nokiapoweruser, a successor to the recently announced Nokia 5.3 might be in works already, and it is even rumored to be announced before the close of 2020. As you would expect, the device will be named Nokia 5.4, and it is expected to offer trimmed display, better CPU among other key improved specs.
Talking about display, the upcoming Nokia 5.4 is expected to come in a 6.4-inch display with a punched notch upfront, where the selfie snapper will be kept. The current Nokia 5.3 has a dew drop notch display, with a little bigger 6.55-inches display.
The report further claims that the device will have a more powerful processor than the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 Chip in the current 5.3. This means Nokia might be looking towards the Snapdragon 700-series as it is unlikely to switch to a Mediatek Chipset on the 5.4.
If a Snapdragon 700-series is used, then we could expect a minimum 4GB with either 64GB or 128GB of built-in storage. As for the camera department, the device should sport a quad-camera snappers on the back, similar to the Nokia 5.3, and will be available in Purple and Blue colors when it is officially released within the month of December.
Recall that the Nokia 5.3 came with a 13MP + 5MP + 2MP + 2MP combination which included a wide-angle shooter, macro shooter and a depth sensor. The 5.3 is based on Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 CPU, has 4000mAh battery with 10W fast charging and run on Google Android 10 out of the box.
