Oppo K5 goes Official with Snapdragon 730G and VOOC 4.0 Flash charge

Oppo K5 launch

Oppo K5 has been launched today, this device was launched a couple of minutes after the company launched the Oppo Reno Ace. The main selling point of this smartphone is it’s charging technology, this device spot a 4.0 VOOC flash charging making it the first smartphone from the company to use the 30W VOOC.

What this means is that the user can charge the smartphone’s 4000mAh battery capacity to 67% in just 30 minutes, it seems to be around 12% faster than the already quick VOOC 3.0 charging tech. Oppo also said that while playing games on the K5, it can still go from 2% to 47% in 30 minutes. It also runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G, along with up to 8GB of RAM and a maximum of 256GB of internal storage.

In terms of price, the OPPO K5 in its 6GB+128GB version is priced at 1899 yuan ($260); the 8GB+128GB version will cost 2099 yuan ($290), while the 8GB+256GB variant will be up for 2499 yuan ($350). The smartphone is available in three colors: fantasy forest, cyber metal and polar sunlight; and it does feature NFC.

Let’s check out it’s Specifications, on the front, it has a 6.4-inch display, it’s a Full HD+ display which means it has a resolution of 1080 by 2340 pixels, the device has a PPI of 403 and 19:5:9 aspect ratio. It’s a Super Amoled panel screen.

Under the hood, it is powered by Snapdragon 730G Chip which has an Octa core processor clocked at 2.2GHz, it runs on Android 9 pie with ColorOS 6 out of the box and Adreno 618 for graphics or gaming. The processor is also paired with a 6gb/8gb/8gb RAM and 128gb/128gb/256gb internal storage.

In terms of camera, this device spot a quad rear cameras which are the 64mp camera with f/1.8 aperture accompanied by a led flash, 8mp ultra wide lens with f/2.2 aperture, 2mp dedicated macro lens with f/2.4 aperture and a 2mp depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture, on the front, it has a 32mp selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture, both the front and back camera records video in 1080p at 30fps.

What is keeping the light on is a 4000mAh Li-Po battery which supports fast charging upto 30W.
