Tecno Spark 9 Pro, the direct successor to the Spark 8 Pro of last year has just been announced. The phone features a MediaTek Helio G85 CPU, has a 5000mAh battery, and backed by 4/6GB RAM, with up to 128-Gigs of built-in storage.
This year, Tecno decided to begin the Spark 9 series with the Pro model, although the Spark 9T and the vanilla Spark 9 might go official next tomorrow, as was revealed by the company’s twitter handle.
As for the Spark 9 Pro, it is a 6.6-inches device, featuring a dewdrop notch on the head and an IPS screen with 1080 x 1920 pixels. The device is fitted with a large 32-megapixel selfie camera on the front.
Flipping to the rear, the 9 Pro offers three camera setup in two independent camera modules. The inherent lenses includes a 50-megapixel primary shooter, 2-megapixel depth and a third AI depth sensor.
We knew the Spark 9-series were to boot Google Android 12 out of the box, but we were expecting HiOS 12 interface, not another HiOS 8.X. The Spark 9 Pro is got the anticipated Android 12 though, but it is based on HiOS 8.6.
What is keeping the phone alive is a 5000mAh battery with 18W fast charger. Available color options includes Quantum Black, Burano Blue, Holy White and Hacker Storm. The phone will be available across Africa and some Asian countries, although pricing is not known as at writing.
