With the launch of its Infinix Hot 10 Play today in India, Infinix has expanded its portfolio. The vast Chinese conglomerate Transsion Holdings is made of smartphone makers like Tecno, Infinix, and Itel. Transsion Holdings have made sure these phone brands are active in Asia and Africa. They have been working hard to expand their relevance throughout the global markets.
These days, the Indian market has become one of the biggest targets for smartphone makers. As such, Infinix is adding a new smartphone to its Indian portfolio called Infinix Hot 10 Play.
The Infinix Hot 10 play is a low-end smartphone with a big display and massive battery.
Infinix Hot 10 play features a massive 6.82-inch HD+ IPS display. The major downside is that the resolution is less than excellent. It is basically just an HD+ panel (1,400 x 720) pixels which probably looks great on a display of this size.
This entry-level smartphone also flaunts a waterdrop notch design that accommodates the selfie camera sensor in the front. The Infinix Hot 10 play smartphone draws power from the MediaTek Helio G35 chipset.
This exact smartphone was launched in the Philippines with a MediaTek Helio G25 processor. The Indian market, however, got a variant update and launched with different 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. There is also a microSD card slot if that’s not enough for storage, and you need more.
The Infinix Hot 10 play packs a massive 6,000mAh battery with 10W fast charging support. Infinix has claimed that the smartphone is capable of delivering up to 53 hours of talk time.
There is a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner at the back of the phone. It runs on the Android 10 operating system, which may sound disappointing for some users. However, we expect Infinix to release the Android 11 update soon for the Infinix Hot 10 Play smartphone.
Infinix Hot 10 play smartphone offers a dual-camera setup placed at the top-left corner of the rear panel. The layout features an aligned rectangular bump. At first glance, this may seem like it features an inverse L-shaped triple camera setup.
The camera sensor comprises a 13-MP primary sensor and an AI lens along with an Upfront and an LED flash. The design also houses an 8-megapixel camera sensor that can be used for selfies and video calls.
Pricing and Availability
In the Indian market, The Infinix Hot 10 Play smartphone costs INR 8,499, which is equivalent to $113 / €95. The device comes in Aegean Blue, Morandi Green, Obsidian Black, and 7-degrees Purple. The device will be available on offline retail from April 26. However, you can get through Flipkart.
