The long awaited Poco X2 is here; Pricing starts at $225 in India


The long awaited Poco X2 is finally here, and it is a re-branded version of Redmi K30 launched earlier in China. It is also important to note that the re-branded version is the 4G variants, note the more powerful 5G variant. So being a 4G-only variant, you are getting the Snapdragon 730G, and not the more powerful 765G found in the 5G variant.


It is also worth nothing that the Poco X2 is note the successor of the super successive Pocophone F1. There are current rumors that Poco F2 will launch in India later this year, and will come in the order of the Xiaomi Mi 10 series.

Specification wise, the Poco X2 come in same body, design and built quality of the Redmi K30 4G. The device has a 6.67-inch Full-HD+ display, using 1080 by 2400 pixels resolutions, amounting to about 395 PPI. The display itself uses a 20:9 aspect ratio, and yes, it is an IPS LCD panel, with about 84.8% screen to body ratio, the display is also protected by Gorilla Glass 5, and has a pill-notch, housing the selfie camera.

Under the hood, there is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G, an Octa-core processor clocked at 2.2GHz paired with Adreno 618 GPU. The  Poco X2 runs on the latest Android 10 based on MIUI 11 out of the box.

In terms of camera, this device spot a quad rear cameras which are the 64 MP camera with f/1.9 aperture accompanied by a dual led flash, 8 MP ultra wide lens with f/2.2 aperture, 2 MP macro camera with f/2.4 aperture and a 2 MP depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture.

On the front, it has a dual 20 MP + 2 MP selfie shooter with f/2.2 & f/2.4 aperture, both the front and back camera records video in 1080p at 30fps.

What is keeping the light on is a 4,500mAh Li-Po battery which supports fast charging up to 27W. There is a side mounted fingerprint scanner, support for 4G VoLTE network on it dual Nano-SIMs. The Poco X2 is built into Splash resistant body with P2i coating and available in Atlantis Blue, Matrix Purple and Phoenix Red colors with Qualcomm Aqstic WCD937x audio chip out of the box.
