UMIDIGI G2 and C2 (2023) entry-level smartphones announced with Helio A22 CPU

UMIDIGI, a Chinese smartphone manufacturer, has recently announced the release of its G2 and C2 2023 smartphones, targeting the entry-level and mid-range market segments. The company had previously released the specifications and pictures for the devices in January without giving any information about the launch date or price. However, the company has now provided more details about the phones.


The G2 and C2 smartphones will be available in a single configuration, featuring 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage. The devices will be sold on Aliexpress starting from March 20th and will be priced at $79.99, making them one of the most affordable Android 13 4G smartphones available in the global market.

Both the G2 and C2 smartphones will feature a 6.52-inch IPS LCD waterdrop notch display with an HD+ resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels and an aspect ratio of 20:9. The phones will come with a microSD card slot, supporting up to 256GB of SD card expansion memory. They will also be equipped with a 5150mAh battery that supports 10W charging via USB-C.


The UMIDIGI G2&C2 will have a 5-megapixel front-facing camera and a 13-megapixel primary camera, along with a 2-megapixel depth sensor on the back. The devices will be slim, with a profile of 8.75mm and will weigh approximately 190 grams. The company has introduced a new design on the back of the phone, which is one of its major attractions. The UMIDIGI G2&C2 will come in two colors: Dawn Gold and Graphite Black.
